A veteran in the music industry, Walter represented different professional instrument lines, such as Gibson guitars and Sonar drums, and was privileged to work with and meet many popular artists and recording industry executives. As an avid cigar enthusiast Walt’s pursuit of peculiar and interesting cigars led him to meet Nick Perdomo. He attended a Perdomo event hosted by Nick and when they each learned of the other’s passion for music and cigars – they hit it off. Just a few months later, in the summer of 2005, Walt joined the Perdomo Team as the Sales Representative for the Mid-Atlantic states, including Maryland, D.C., Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia.
Although he has many favorites, Walt has recently been enjoying the Perdomo Patriarch in the Corojo wrapper, as well as the new Perdomo Grand Cru Maduro.
“One of the most unexpected moments in my life was when I first met Nick Perdomo. I was in hot pursuit of a box of Perdomo Reserve squared and saw on the website that Nick was doing an event that week. So, of course, I went. It was very crowded and very busy and I couldn’t find what I wanted so I asked around and someone pointed me to, unbeknownst to me, Nick. Immediately, the cigar search evaporated as we talked about who I was and how I earned my living. Nick got highly energized because he plays Sonar drums and I was the rep at the time for much of the East Coast. He told me about his very unique drum set, which segued into parts, sticks, accessories, artists and recordings… for over 3 hours! The store was closing when I got Nick’s autograph on my cigar box. Little did I know that from that moment on I would be working with Nick Perdomo and Perdomo Cigars.”
